In prog, it was okay to get a little bit of classical in your jazz, all running into a hearty serving of hard rock and eventually metal.What this album has in spaces is genre blending. Before it became so blown out of proportion that it eventually wound up becoming a parody of itself, progressive music was about experimentation with blending and bending genres. I know what you’re thinking: Stevie Wonder? The pop singer? That’s even less prog than Kansas! To that I say that you have to reevaluate what progressive music actually is. Hello again!
